A destination wedding at Manas Resort means exchanging vows against one of the most dramatic natural backdrops in Maharashtra — the Sahyadri hills at their most vivid, valley views stretching for kilometres, and a sky that turns deep amber at dusk. Since 1991, the resort has hosted weddings ranging from intimate 50-person ceremonies to multi-day celebrations with over 400 guests. The infrastructure has grown with the demand, but the setting — 7 acres of landscaped grounds on the Mumbai–Nashik Highway at Igatpuri — remains exactly as it was: unhurried, green, and genuinely beautiful.
The resort is 110 km from Mumbai and 40 km from Nashik, making it one of the most accessible true destination wedding venues in the region. Guests from Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Surat, Vapi, and Aurangabad can all reach the property within 3–5 hours. The resort has 60+ rooms across 9 categories, so a significant portion of wedding guests can stay on-site — which changes the texture of a multi-day celebration entirely.
The Grand Lawn: The resort's primary outdoor wedding venue. Large enough for a 400-person sit-down dinner or a 600-person standing reception, the lawn is flanked by mature trees, lit with string lights and lanterns in the evenings, and can accommodate mandap setups, stage arrangements, and floral installations of any scale.
Secondary lawn: Ideal for haldi and mehndi ceremonies — daytime functions that benefit from natural light and an open, casual energy. The secondary lawn is separate from the main event space, allowing parallel ceremonies or back-to-back functions without overlap.
Banquet hall: An air-conditioned indoor venue for cocktail evenings, sangeet performances, or smaller sittings. The hall can be configured with a dance floor, bar counter, and stage. It seats up to 150 comfortably for a formal dinner.
Poolside: The infinity pool and its surroundings create a dramatic setting for post-wedding brunches, mehndi functions with a resort feel, or small cocktail evenings. The pool area is bookable for private events subject to schedule.
With 60+ rooms on-site, Manas can comfortably accommodate 120–150 overnight guests. The room mix includes the sprawling Macaw and Conure Villas (ideal for bridal parties and close family), Marmo Cottage Rooms across four levels (suitable for couples and small families), and the Koi Vista rooms (compact and modern for individual guests). All rooms include daily housekeeping, AC, Wi-Fi, and 24-hour room service.
Having guests stay on-site transforms a wedding from a single-evening event into a proper celebration weekend. Guests can gather at the pool the morning after, explore the petting zoo together, enjoy a long Sunday brunch, and travel home together — all from the same property. This shared-campus feeling is something hall-and-hotel wedding venues can't replicate.
Manas Resort's in-house kitchen handles all wedding catering. The menu team works with families to design custom menus across Indian, Maharashtrian, Punjabi, South Indian, Gujarati, and Continental cuisines. Thali formats, live counters, plated service, and high-tea setups are all available. The organic farm on-site contributes seasonal produce to the kitchen, and the resort takes food freshness seriously — all preparations are done within the property on the day of service.
Alcoholic beverages are served via the resort's licensed bar. Outside alcohol is not permitted. A dedicated bar counter for wedding events can be set up in the lawn or banquet hall.
A dedicated wedding manager is assigned to every booking. The process starts with a site visit (most families find the in-person experience far more convincing than photographs), followed by a detailed brief covering function schedule, guest count by day, catering preferences, and décor requirements. Manas works with a network of trusted vendors for décor, photography, mehendi, and entertainment — but families are free to bring their own vendors, subject to a brief coordination meeting.
The team has managed simultaneous multi-function weekends — haldi on Friday, sangeet Saturday evening, wedding ceremony and reception Saturday night, farewell brunch Sunday — and has the logistics experience to keep things running calmly even when family dynamics are anything but.
The most common reason couples choose Manas over other destination venues in this corridor is the combination of a genuine natural setting, accommodation on-site, and a team that has been doing this long enough to anticipate problems before they arise. The lawns are real lawns, not converted parking lots. The views are unobstructed — no urban skyline or highway noise to manage in photographs. And the resort has been here since 1991, which means the trees are tall, the grounds are mature, and the infrastructure is tested.
